This article is to explain how foreigners apply for a China-issue Police Check certificate in Suzhou, for purposes of marriage, immigration, employment or school admission.
Suzhou's rules on China Police Check Certificate (or No Criminal Record Certificate) application have been changed/modified in the beginning of 2021.
! The current rules and ways of getting PCC may not apply in the future, so we are only responsible for the relevant rules and regulations in July 2021.
Authorize us to do it
If you are not able to return to China, you can authorize us to act on your behalf for your PCC in Suzhou.

China can not issue PCC for Deplomatic and Official Passport holder.
You have to prove that you stayed in Suzhou for at least 6 months, the Registration Form of Temporary Residence is the only document to prove that.
Suzhou Police Check Certificate - Required Documents
1 Passports
Your passport which used in Suzhou and passport which is valid now.
We do not ask for original passport, as 1:1 scan copy will be fine.
2 Registration Form of Temporary Residence
The Registration Form of Temporary Residence is a important document to tell the jurisdiction. If you have not registered in police station, your application will be rejected. We can process in case of you did police registration but do not have hard copy of it.
3 Alien Employment Permit, Foreign Expert Permit or Foreign Work Permit (Optional)
The government document which shows you actually worked in Suzhou. If you were a student in Suzhou, please ignore this file.
4 Graduation Certificate or Degree Certificate (Optional)
The university/school document which shows you studied in Suzhou, if you were are an employee in Suzhou, please ignore this file.
5 Letter of Authorization
A letter of authorization is the document showing that the applicant authorize us to all relevent work for obtaining PCC. It somehow likes a power of attorney.

Step 1: Visit Notary Office and Get Official Letter for Police Check Certificate
According to a report released by Suzhou Bureau of Justice 2021, there are 8 notary offices in Suzhou. But not all of them familiar with Foreigners PCC application. Here is the list of Suzhou Notary Offices.

Step 2: Visit Police Station and Get Police Check Certificate
Suzhou has around 60 police stations, it's critial to find the right police station for your PCC.
You need to visit the police station in which you did police registration. If you registered in several police stations, you should apply for PCC at each police station.

STEP 3: Notarize the Police Check Certificate
Bring the police-station-issue PCC to the notary office and applying for a notarized Police Check certificate with English translation or other language translation as needed.
